I read this today and felt it really needed to be shared. This is another example of superhuman individuals, many of whom I am honored to know. Thank you for all you do, and know that during this crisis our mission would surely fail without you.
I just want to take a moment to say thank you to the people in my line of work. You seem to get left out of the group of super hero’s in times like this. Yet, you always have a smile on even on the worst of days. Residential care workers/ group home workers. We run mini hospitals. No one really understands the depths of what you do. For other people’s family members. You are nurses, advocates, janitors, lawyers, social workers, recreation therapists, teachers, councillors, physiotherapists the list goes on. The amount you do and choose this line of work. You make sure the vulnerable are safe physically & mentally. Even after some days being physically , verbally and emotionally attacked. Literal bite scars, broken fingers or smashed cars. You dust yourself off , heal and come back. When on the front line floors you work your shift or volunteer to do more hours to help out your co workers or in time of need or crisis. Night shifts when your eyes are going cross eyed ,day shifts , flex shifts, sleep shifts. 24hrs a day. Your hearts are so big and your work is more appreciated then you know. You are a valuable being to all of our communities . Keep that shit up! 💪🏼❤️🌸
